NOW WE ARE LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Are you ready to take Skövde to the next level?

The municipality of Skövde is looking for an engaged and strategic business development manager who wants to be part of our strong growth journey. As a business development manager, you will proactively drive sales work towards strategically important value chains within Skövde's key areas; Future sustainable industry, Tech, and Game Development. You will coordinate and find effective working methods together with our innovation arenas, academia, and other local property owners and key stakeholders, with the aim of identifying and attracting companies and investments to Skövde. You will also work closely with market developers within the business unit.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of the municipality's establishment program in close collaboration with a steering group consisting of the municipality of Skövde, Science Park Skövde, the University of Skövde, and Kreativa Hus AB. Together with these partners, you will work to highlight Skövde's offerings and create development opportunities for new and existing companies. You will coordinate and find effective working methods together with our innovation arenas, academia, and other local property owners and key stakeholders within the municipality of Skövde, with the aim of identifying and attracting companies and investments in office, industrial properties, and business land. You will be part of the business unit's working group within the sector of Citizens and Community Development. You will report to the business manager and the steering group for the establishment program.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU

We are looking for someone with relevant education in, for example, business administration, sales, and marketing, or other competencies that the employer assesses as relevant for the role. Education in sustainability and knowledge in digitalization are meritorious.

You have previous experience in establishment work, business development, or complex sales, as well as experience working in networks and with multiple stakeholders.

You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Your understanding of value chains and their importance for regional growth is a significant asset, and knowledge in digitalization and green transformation is seen as an advantage. We also want you to have proven experience in building successful collaborations both internally and externally.

As a person, you are proactive and inspiring. You are relationship-building and value good collaborations. You are structured, goal-oriented, and solution-focused. In the role of business development manager, you are our ambassador for both Skövde and Skaraborg as a region.
